There ain’t no party like a Knights’ softball party because a Knights’ softball party doesn’t stop. St. Michael-Albertville took care of Elk River 8-1 during the season opener and then rallied for a walk-off win against Eden Prairie in the home opener. The bats were going early and often against the Elks on April 9. St. Michael-Albertville Baseball got thrown into the fire early. The Knights faced two Lake Conference foes already and they sent both packing with losses. A 2-0 shutout win during the season opener on April 9 against Eden Prairie got the ball rolling and the momentum continued. On Friday, April 11, STMA beat Edina 6-5. Minnetonka and Wayzata also started the season 2-0.

Osseo Baseball got to begin the 2025 season at home for two games during week one. The Orioles lost the season opener 4-0 to Rogers on April 8 but turned around and pulled out a 4-1 win over Elk River the next day. Rogers scored the game's first run in the top of the second. They added another in the fifth and two insurance runs in the sixth. Osseo was held scoreless on four hits and two errors.

Monticello Softball started the season with an 8-4 win on the road at Buffalo on April 8. Unfortunately, the Magic fell in their last two games at home against Cambridge-Isanti on April 10 and Becker on April 11. Senior Josi Ordorff earned her first win of the season after pitching a complete game against the Bison. Monticello High School senior Addison Kiphuth has started the girls’ lacrosse season on fire. In three games, Kiphuth has a team-high nine goals and 15 points. During Monticello’s game against Buffalo on April 14, she notched her 150th career point. She has 89 goals and 61 assists in 43 games.

Monticello Baseball was ready for the season to begin. The Magic welcomed Cambridge-Isanti to Monticello High School on April 10 and the Bluejackets left early. Monticello scored 21 runs on 15 hits and won 21-3 in five innings. Becker took a shot at the Magic the next day and while they lasted a full seven innings, the result was the same. The Monticello boys lacrosse team has high hopes for this season. The defending Mississippi 8 champs are eyeing a repeat. Not only that, but they’re eyeing a section championship this year too. Goals early and often during the season opener against St. Cloud on April 10 at Monticello Memorial Stadium led to a 1-0 start. MHS robotics team sees best season in program history

Monticello High School is home to a lot of great teams and athletes. While most are known for their physical prowess, the Monticello Robotics team is known for its intellectual prowess. The team works together to design, build, code and drive robots that are used in competitions with and against other schools. It was a season to remember for the Monticello Pythons robotics team. They completed the best season in program history, taking sixth at the Grand Forks Regional out of 52 teams. kAmx?

The Knights are off to a great start, going 2-0 with wins over St. Cloud Tech and Rogers. It's a loaded home schedule for the first half of the season. They opened April with a 3-0 win over St. Cloud Tech on April 1. Two days later, they edged out Rogers in five sets 3-2.
