The Spring Lake Park city council unanimously approved replacing lanes at the police department’s shooting range during its meeting on April 7. New farmers markets cropping up in Waconia, Cologne

Waconia will have a farmers market downtown this summer season for the first time in several years. It will be in a portion of the municipal parking lot at 224 First Street at Waconia Square across from Freshwater Church starting Thursday, June 5 and will run every Thursday, 4-7 p.m. through Sept. 25. The farmers and flea market is being coordinated through Myrle Mackenzie, a Lake Minnetonka area real estate agent, and licensed through area non-profit Minnesota Christkindlmarkt, Inc.

Fire hydrants to be flush with activity

Creek cleanup removes 140 pounds of trash

A bin holds 17 bags filled with styrofoam, cigarettes, plastic bottles, cans, cardboard, clothing, discarded bits of metal, broken glass, candy wrappers and single use plastic items.
