FYI: I’m taking the next two weeks off from writing for a much-needed vacation, so you won’t get another post until June. Thank you so much for supporting me. I’d love to hear your thoughts about what I should write about when I’m back and feeling refreshed (email me: [email protected])!I don’t want to jinx it, but the loneliness that’s been gnawing at my back ever since I can remember hasn’t been around for months.

In my relatively new career as a therapist, I spend a lot of time around women. Most of my clients are men. But after being a therapist for a few years I’ve learned it’s usually not that easy.

If right-wing lawmakers really cared about what they call “parents’ rights,” they would not be spreading misinformation to pit parents against teachers. They would be listening to what parents really want instead of stoking racial and social divisions to drain resources from public schools. In contrast, President Joe Biden has made historic investments in the education system in ways that truly value parent voices. Take Biden’s support for community schools, for example.

When you use "left-leaning" to describe people who are joining with Republicans to pump more money into the criminal punishment system, that probably means they aren't actually left-leaning.
