Much awaited by local skaters, the skate park in Seton Park is open for business. Outfitted with ramps, rails and a “bowl” – a concave 360-degree transition -- the only thing missing is an official entrance. Not that it has deterred truly committed skaters in the past. In September, a group of skaters from the Bronx-based skate brand, Hunnydipnyc, gathered at the park to practice and film some tricks.

Published on June 2, 2023 Fort Stockton, Texas has been good to us. It was our first chase target and tornado of the 2019 season and wound up being our last chase target and tornado for the 2023 season. We started near Big Spring, Texas that morning. Convection was going to light early off the terrain. it was only a couple hour drive, but I still nearly missed getting us there in time. Coming into town, a strong storm was already moving in from the west.

Published on May 24, 2023 After a long travel day on the 23rd, we set up near Logan to watch convection fire off the mesas north of Tucumcari. Even though there wasn’t obvious upper level support, enough shear and instability were in place for a supercell risk. And that’s exactly what we got. In the extreme. The storm we were watching gradually gathered strength and started drifting southward and we made our way even south of I-40 on Rt. 278 to watch the slow-mover on its way down.
