ONALASKA, Wis. (WXOW) - Onalaska and Tomah baseball faced off on Monday afternoon. By the bottom of the fourth inning, the Timberwolves were up 6-0. In the top of the fourth inning, Tomah's Breckin Sheldon hit a grounder into center field. This play secured a run and a single for Tomah, who took a 6-0 lead. Moving into the fifth inning, Tomah's Nate Hendricks hit deep into center field, adding another run for the Timberwolves. Tomah lead 7-2. Onalaska managed to lessen the gap but still lost.

LA CROSSE, Wis. (WXOW) — The Board of Public Works convened on Monday morning to discuss several agenda items. Key topics included the reallocation of $50,000 from the water utility operating budget. The funds have been designated to abandon Well 26-H in the Town of Campbell. The well has been unused since 2021 and its building will be repurposed for the wastewater lift station.

West Salem, Wis. – West Salem High School was host for the annual MVC/Coulee Invitational on Tuesday. 14 teams competed in Track and Field events throughout the day. In the girls' high jump, Alexa Szak of Holmen secured first place with a mark of 5 feet 2 inches, surpassing Erin Gluch of Westby. Alana Christianson of Viroqua claimed victory in the girls' 300-meter hurdles with a time of 47.93 seconds, finishing less than a second ahead of Olivia Maki of West Salem.

LA CROSSE, Wis. (WXOW) — William Garcia, the current La Crosse Co-Chair for the Democratic Party, announced his candidacy for State Party Chair on Monday. This comes just three days after Ben Wikler, the current chair for the Democrats, said he is stepping down. Garcia said he is running for State Chair because there is a problem within the Democratic Party of Wisconsin. "The system is broken. There is a disconnect between the state party on top and county parties at the bottom," Garcia said.
