    El Paso car clubs rallied together to raise money for 4-year-old Adahyr Araujo who is battling cancer. Organizers say around 150 cars showed up to share their support for Araujo. Each car paid $10 to be included in the show. Car clubs, Detroit Iron, Border Town Muscle, Ideal offroad, The lords and Chuco Made were the force behind putting this event together. With help from the community the car clubs were able to raise more than $4,000.

    SUNLAND PARK, New Mexico (KVIA) - The New Mexico Environment Department has filed a  lawsuit against the Camino Real Regional Utility Authority. CRRUA is the water utility for the Sunland Park and Santa Teresa areas. The Environment Department filed the lawsuit in the Third Judicial District Court in Las Cruces requesting the court appoint an independent manager to oversee the daily operations of CRRUA.

Normal hours of operation will resume on Tuesday, May 27.

    The El Paso Reptile Show is back for Memorial Day weekend. The two-day event held by the Show Me Reptiles organization will have two days of everything reptile. Organizers say reptile vendors from the surrounding area bring thier beloved exotic reptiles for vistors to enjoy. Vendors also bring in reptiles for sale and provide education on the various species for those who need it.

    The El Paso Police Department turned 152 years old and Saturday was the first time the department held a public celebration. The event was called "152 in Blue" and was held at the El Paso Police Academy. The celebration was a free open house for the community where police got to show off their k-9, bomb squad, and swat teams among others. The event also had family fun activities and food trucks.
