ShareJAY, Vt. (WCAX) - We’re kicking off the first full week of fall with a check on the foliage in Vermont. She found patches of nice color throughout the Kingdom but said it’s definitely not peak yet. This is the case along Route 2 through Danville and St. Johnsbury and the Lyndon area. The bad news is we could be dealing with yet another round of heavy rain and flooding Friday through Saturday thanks to the remnants of Tropical Storm Debby. BURLINGTON, Vt. (WCAX) - It's an effort to keep Vermonters warm this winter and you can help. The Great Vermont Coat Drive has been underway for just over two weeks now and it has already collected 700 coats for Vermonters in need. But they still need more, and you still have another week to donate. The coats are being collected and distributed by the Vermont Department for Children and Families. They are collecting new and freshly cleaned, gently used coats for all sizes and ages.
