WORCESTER ― The Quinsigamond Community College Board of Trustees has voted in support of college President Luis Pedraja, following a call from QCC staff for Pedraja to resign. The Board of Trustees took the vote at its meeting April 16. On April 10, members of the QCC faculty union, the QCC Professional Association, voted no confidence in Pedraja's leadership, called for him to resign and said union members would not perform non-contractually obligated functions.

The letter, which was signed by more than 100 college and university presidents and published by the American Association of Colleges and Universities, presents a united front of higher education leaders opposing the cuts and control President Donald Trump and his administration have attempted to exercise since taking office earlier this year.
