West Monroe, La. (KTVE/KARD) — The Olympics in Paris is quickly approaching with just a few weeks remaining, and with a little over 10,500 athletes from more than 200 nations that will be competing. Rebecca Whales who’s from the backyard of Northeast Louisiana is preparing for her upcoming Olympic Trial this weekend with hopes of making team USA and continuing her long awaited journey. Whales has the complete mindset of never wanting to give up on her dreams no matter how hard things may get.

MONROE,LA(KTVE/KARD)–The Wossman Wildcats finished last season 9-3 overall, 2nd in district with a 5-1 record. They did see their season end early in the 2nd round 24-14 to Northwest. Senior linebacker Kesean Hines stated “we are looking like a state championship team. We come in everyday putting in the work and I just feel like we gone be good coming fall. I like all the trash talk and stuff now.
