KTVE/KARD-TV (West Monroe, LA)
KARD, a Fox affiliate, became part of Nexstar Broadcasting through the Quorum Broadcasting acquisition in late 2003. It operates in partnership with KTVE, an NBC affiliate owned by Mission Broadcasting, which was acquired from Piedmont Television in December 2007. KARD has shown steady growth in both revenue and operating profits. Its lineup includes popular syndicated shows like Family Feud, The People’s Court, The Big Bang Theory, Two and a Half Men, and The Real. KARD also provides local news on weekdays at 5:30 PM and from 9 to 10 PM, along with a lifestyle program named “Louisiana Living” that airs at 4:30 PM on weekdays. Together with KTVE, KARD features the only Doppler radar in the Monroe/El Dorado DMA.
