The Panthers placed linebackers Trevin Wallace and Claudin Cherelus on injured reserve, which shuts them down for the rest of the season.

CHARLOTTE (QUEEN CITY NEWS) – An Auburn football player is recovering after he was shot last week in uptown Charlotte, according to a police report obtained Monday morning by Queen City News. Officers with Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police responded to calls regarding the incident around 11:45 a.m. in a parking lot by 505 East 6th Street in Uptown. DeAngelo “Trill” Carter, 24, was found suffering from apparent gunshot wounds and was transported to an area medical center with life-threatening injuries.
