Just before Christmas, I took my 3 daughters on holiday to the beach a couple of hours from where we live. I had been looking forward to this trip for months, yet the morning we were due to leave I was a bit of a mess. Call it end-of-year exhaustion, call it packing for a family holiday overwhelm…whatever it was, it felt like a heavy wet blanket across my shoulders. When I couldn’t shut the suitcase I was packing, I started to cry.
