A sixth-grade student at Sacred Heart Catholic School in Boise had a surprising prediction come true when she randomly selected the cardinal who would become the next pope. "They were like, he's the pope, he's the pope, and they screamed it down the halls, and we were, like, 'yay he got elected,' and I was like, 'that's my guy, that's my guy.'"Olivia Fisher and her classmates were given an assignment to pick a cardinal at random who might become the next pope.

BOISE, Idaho - Robert Prevost has been elected as Pope Leo XIV, becoming the first American to lead the Roman Catholic Church. The historic selection has sparked excitement among local Catholics in Boise. "When we saw the white smoke, I think it was me, actually, I went running down the hall.
