    Jessica and her adorable son Levi are taking a break from baking their own bread to make a very exciting salad. “I’ve seen all these recipes about crispy rice and I’ve become obsessed,” Jessica explained. However, the texture can be tricky on the teeth. “You almost broke my teeth with crispy rice,” Levi joked to his mom. Regardless, Jessica said she’s become “addicted to crispy rice,” and used it to make a salad with Levi’s help. “This is really, really good!” Levi exclaimed with his mouth full.

    Jessica was inspired to cook some minestrone soup after she learned that the “longest-lived family in the world” eats it as part of their diet daily. “The thing about minestrone soup is it’s so simple. It’s full of vegetables and beans and that’s obviously what could contribute to a long life,” she reasoned. “Here’s the minestrone soup!”While there are many ways to cook up minestrone soup, Jessica’s version has cabbage. Some other recipes may call for kale.
