    A North Hollywood father was sentenced to over 12 years in prison for a brutal assault that left his 14-month-old son with permanent injuries. The assault took place on March 22, 2022, and the child was taken to the hospital for emergency surgery for permanent head and brain injuries, according to the Los Angeles Police Department.
