Albanese raised the issue with Subianto on the sidelines of this month's APEC summit in Peru that Australian men Scott Rush, Matthew Norman, Si-Yi Chen, Martin Stephens and Michael Czugaj be transferred to Australian prisons to continue serving their sentences.

    A severe thunderstorm warning for heavy rainfall has been issued for south-east Queensland with the potential it could to lead to flash flooding. The Bureau of Meteorology (BOM) has issued the warning for Logan, Redland City and Brisbane city council areas. The slow-moving thunderstorm was detected near Slacks Creek and is forecast to affect Woodridge, Sunnybank Hills, Wynnum and Camp Hill.

    An animal rescue organisation is calling for legislative change to protect tigers and handlers working with big cats. It comes after experienced tiger handler Melissa Reynolds was taken to Gold Coast University Hospital on Monday after being bitten by a tiger at Dreamworld theme park. The 47-year-old is now in a stable condition after being taken to hospital with "serious lacerations and puncture wounds" to her arm and shoulder at 9am on Monday.
