As holiday travelers gear up for takeoff, Sacramento International Airport is “all-hands on deck” for the busy season. Here’s what you should know before heading to the airport: The Transportation Security Administration anticipates the busiest days of travel to be the Tuesday and Wednesday before Thanksgiving and Sunday, Dec. 1. TSA is projected to screen 18.3 million passengers from Tuesday, Nov. 26 to Monday, Dec. 2, nationwide.

As Thanksgiving nears, Sacramento families and friends will gather at the dinner table to share their gratitude and a hearty meal. The American Farm Bureau Federation found that the classic Thanksgiving feast for 10 people could cost roughly $58.08, which is a 5% decrease from last year. Yet, this year’s cost is still 19% higher than five years ago. Turkeys will carve most of grocery cost, coming in at about $26.
