In a damning new report by The Guardian published June 13, six more men have accused Grammy Award-winning superstar Michael Tait of sexually harassing, abusing, or drugging them between 2001 and 2009. Two were minors at the time of their alleged incidents. The Guardian’s article comes on the heels of The Roys Report’s (TRR) years-long investigation into Tait, published June 4.

Michael Tait, former lead singer of Newsboys, dropped a shocker of an Instagram post today, admitting to abusing cocaine and forcing himself sexually on other men. Tait, 59, also said the real reason he abruptly left the Newsboys in January was to receive professional help at a treatment center in Utah.

As the Newsboys continue to respond to allegations of drug abuse and inappropriate sexual actions by former lead singer Michael Tait, one band member admitted the mega-popular band wasn’t surprised by the news. “We have obviously heard rumors over the years and each time something would come up we would try to find the source and no one would tell us,” lead singer Adam Agee wrote in a Facebook group.
