A man died and a pastor suffered major injuries, after a tree and power lines fell on their car, while driving home from a Bible study in Toledo, Ohio. Northwest Baptist Church Pastor Andrew Edwards III was driving congregant Richard Miller home and waiting at a stoplight April 17 when the tree fell. Miller, 35, was pronounced dead at the scene, and Edwards was transported to a nearby hospital with multiple injuries.

Messianic apologist Michael Brown engaged in “sexually abusive misconduct” with one young woman and an “inappropriate relationship” with a second married woman in the early 2000s, a third-party investigative report by Firefly has found. The sexual misconduct included physical touch with Sarah Monk, a then 20-year-old woman who worked for Brown, the Firefly investigative report stated. Brown also appeared to engage in a “calculated effort to evade accountability,” Firefly found.

Gary Thomas “Tom” Keesee, Jr.—the son of Ohio megachurch pastors, Gary and Drenda Keesee—was arrested today and charged with two counts of rape, according to a press release by the Licking County Sheriff’s office. More charges will be considered by a grand jury on Monday, the release stated. Until last summer Tom Keesee worked as the chief media officer at the church his parents founded, Faith Life Church in New Albany, Ohio.
