Svend Fruit has been fascinated by architecture ever since he was in the third grade, when he dressed as Frank Lloyd Wright for a class assignment. “I went to the public library and got a book he did called the Wasmuth Portfolio,” Fruit remembers. “It was just all beautiful perspective drawings of Frank Lloyd Wright houses, and I just became enthralled with it.

In keeping with the celebration’s “earthy and natural” aesthetic, the pair wed under a cedar arbor draped in muslin, then celebrated over brunch with their nearest and dearest. At the end of the festivities, “We drove off in a 1955 vintage Chevy truck, which we still own today,” Denise says.
