Dancehall DJ Tony Matterhorn is no stranger to Bermuda. The 53-year-old Jamaican, known for hits such as Dutty Wine, has been visiting the island to perform for more than 30 years. He is back again this month for Good Friday's Unity Fest at Somerset Cricket Club. The event, also featuring DJ Fire Blacks and Zaydo, is organised by Eshe Grant, of Vibe Dealer Promotions. Ms Grant's goal is to bring the community together through music. "I want to celebrate our Caribbean heritage," Ms Grant said.

US president Donald Trump has said tariffs on imported pharmaceutical goods would be coming soon, to force drug companies to set up in America. Eighty per cent of American medications are made in places such as China and Ireland.

A relocation specialist believes Bermuda's housing shortage is hampering international business. "We are seeing people just not able to find the homes they need," said Sylvia Jones, founder and director of Corporate Concierge, a business that helps people relocate to Bermuda for work. She believes Airbnbs are partly to blame. In the 17 years she has been in the industry, she has seen many long-term rentals turned into tourist accommodation.

The Association of Bermuda International Companies has extended the application deadline for their annual scholarships. Each year, Abic gives out more than $675,000 in scholarships thanks to the support of Bermuda's international business community. A deadline extension for this year's Abic Education Awards gives applicants extra time to complete and refine their scholarship paperwork. "We have heard you, and we are giving you a little extra time to shine," an Abic spokesman said.

A US Senate finance committee has been told that not all of the proposed US Trade Representative multimillion-dollar fees for Chinese-built ships to dock at US ports will be implemented, and they may not be cumulative. Implementation of the USTR port fee plan could come as late as November as a result of the flood of negative feedback that needs to be considered, news agency Reuters has been told.
