Highland Park -- Five years ago, four locals involved in the arts took over a bookstore and reimagined it as The Pop-Hop—a cooperative space where zines, art, and activism could thrive. What began as a solo-run bookshop is now a hub for creators of color, grassroots educators, and neighborhood residents.
