1 Introduction Hyperplastic scarring and keloids are conditions that occur when excessive fibrosis takes place during wound healing of skin injuries such as trauma, burns, or surgery.[1] Unlike regular scars, keloids are distinct in that they extend beyond the boundaries of the original injury. They appear as prominent, hard bulges are often accompanied by pain and itching.

AbstractPolygenic risk scores (PRS) are now showing promising predictive performance on a wide variety of complex traits and diseases, but there exists a substantial performance gap across different populations. We propose MUSSEL, a method for ancestry-specific polygenic prediction that borrows information in the summary statistics from genome-wide association studies (GWAS) across multiple ancestry groups.
