Nanochannel array-based platform for aggregation monitoring and high-sensitive identification of neurotoxic amyloid-β oligomers The soluble amyloid-β oligomer (AβO) has been recognized as an important neuropathological hallmark for severity assessment of Alzheimer’s disease (AD) due to its more neurotoxicity than the larger and mature fibrillar Aβ.

AbstractParticle adsorption at the oil-water interface is an important strategy for emulsion stabilization against coalescence, however, the particle occupation of the interface and the requirement of free interfaces in many applications is a contradiction. We report an emulsion type with low droplet surface coverage but enhanced stability by employing colloidal rings as emulsifiers. The formed emulsions provide a large accessible oil-water interface (>80%).

We demonstrate that dynamical electron correlation and fluctuating local magnetic moments are crucial for the phonon spectra of the infinite-layer nickelate superconductor using density functional theory plus dynamical mean-field theory () calculations. We find significant hardening of optical Ni-O bond-stretching phonons when going from a nonmagnetic to paramagnetic state, and increasing Coulomb interaction will make them even harder.

RT @rashaabdulhadi: When will the Gofundme leaks come out? 👀

RT @meganflchee: As a lifelong Star Trek fan, this is surreal. Listen to actual Wil Wheaton narrate my short story The God of Minor Trouble…

thinking about how harmful it can be to receive inappropriate comments from peers/mentors as a writer, and how hurtful feedback has sometimes led me to stop working on certain projects for months or even years
