1. IntroductionThe interaction and motion of dispersed liquid droplets and gas bubbles in another continuous phase liquid are basic processes encountered in many applications related to the manufacture of foodstuffs, foams, polymers, cosmetics, toiletries, and many other products. In other applications, the falling or rising of liquid droplets and gas bubbles in another fluid is of critical importance.
