Theoretical mechanistic insights on the thermal and acid-catalyzed rearrangements of N-methyl-N-nitroanilines The thermal and acid-catalyzed rearrangement mechanisms of N-methyl-N-nitroanilines were investigated theoretically via density functional theory (DFT) calculations. All possible proposed mechanisms were considered during theoretical investigation.

Sulfo(xo)nium diacylmethylides (sulfur ylides) are simple, stable, readily prepared, and versatile synthons. Compared with the sulfo(xo)nium monoacylmethylides, they can be compatible with more rigorous reaction conditions and showcase unique characteristics due to their excellent stability.
