    THOMASVILLE — A Davidson County couple who has volunteered nearly 20,000 hours of service to local seniors was honored recently along with more than 400 other volunteers at Davidson County Senior Services. David and Tammie Craver were awarded Volunteers of the Year at the annual Senior Services Volunteer Appreciation Luncheon on April 24. "The put in a lot of hours," said Chris Bitterman, volunteer service coordinator. "They help seniors into the Lexington Cafe every day.

    Patience is running thin with drivers needing to patronize businesses and restaurants in the Plaza Parkway shopping center after construction to add a right hand turn lane to exit the shopping center began this week. Social media was peppered with photos and videos of people trying to leave Plaza Parkway and stating they were stuck in the shopping center for 30 minutes to an hour in car lines trying to exit at the stoplight onto Cotton Grove Road.
