The 1889 Johnstown Flood killed 2,209 people, and a macroburst carved a path of destruction across Allegheny and Westmoreland counties on this date. This year commemorates 40 years since Pennsylvania's strongest and deadliest tornado outbreak.     High temperatures will gradually tick up through the 60s over the holiday weekend. Conditions will stay dry with increasing amounts of sunshine. Not quite as cool this afternoonA tad chilly and certainly refreshing to kick off this Sunday. Patchy fog will linger through 8 AM or 9 AM. A few hours of sunshine are on tap before a deck of clouds roll in this afternoon. There won't be any showers to spoil your afternoon plans. Skies will clear out again this afternoon.
