The band on Friday announced that it would cancel its scheduled weekend performance at Sonic Temple Art & Music Festival, a four-day heavy-metal festival unfolding through the weekend at Historic Crew Stadium in Columbus, Ohio.

    It looks like Welcome to Rockville main stage attraction 3 Doors Down won’t be on stage at the four-day rock festival after lead singer Brad Arnold announced on Wednesday that he has been diagnosed with Stage 4 kidney cancer. In a brief video announcement posted on the band’s social media accounts, Arnold broke the news that he had been diagnosed with clear cell renal carcinoma that had metastasized into his lung.
