It could be the worst and best of times for the Edmonton Oil Kings, who fell to the Prince Albert Raiders in Game 7 on Tuesday to drop out of the playoff picture but on Thursday have the best odds at winning the WHL’s bantam draft lottery. The prize: Regina’s fantastic centre Maddox Schultz, who had 93 points (43 goals) in 44 games this season as a 14-year-old playing U18 hockey to win the Saskatchewan scoring title. Schultz, who turned 15 on March 15, is the clear top player in the WHL draft.
