PEORIA (25News Now) - Dunlap and Washington only got to play half their big first place showdown in Mid-Illini softball. Dunlap led Washington 4-0 after 3.5 innings when the game was delayed by rain. The game will resume Monday with Dunlap half-way to a big conference win. Bloomington rallied for a 2-1 softball win over Normal West. Normal U-High baseball beat Jacksonville 5-3.

PEORIA (25News Now) - East Peoria got off a walk-off home run from Auggie Lohnes to beat Dunlap, 3-2 in Mid-Illini baseball. That Raiders leaves Morton as the lone undefeated team in the conference as Morton, Washington and Metamora were also Mid-Ilini baseball winners. Eureka and Peoria Richwoods also earned baseball wins. In lacrosse, Bloomington-Normal knocked off Washington. Morton soccer and East Peoria softball also make the highlights in winning fashion.

(25News Now) - Today was Opening Day of the Panther Softball Classic at Washington. The hosts beat West Aurora and Geneseo, with the first victory giving coach Stephanie Lawson her 262nd win, one more than Jan Smith’s 261. Pontiac, U-High, and Metamora Softball also earned victories. East Peoria Baseball was a non-conference winner over Olympia. Today was also the Bloomington Girl’s Track Invite, with Normal U-High as the overall team champ, and the Galesburg’s Boy’s Invite.
