The DigiTech Whammy family has a new member, and it’s a prodigious bundle of possibility. Like its predecessors that helped reinvent the sound of rock in the ‘90s via Jack White, Tom Morello and many other electric guitar visionaries, the HammerOn is capable of creating unprecedented tones, only available via electronic assistance. The HammerOn even has a dedicated Impossible Mode designed to facilitate fantastical intervallic feats that are simply unplayable physically.

The late ’60s and early ’70s heyday of rock music was unlike anything before or since. While much of the era's music has been preserved on record, many groovy grooves have slipped through the cracks. That where High Moon Records looks to rediscover and release the period's overlooked gems.

It’s often said that a particular guitarist is a “guitar player’s guitar player.”Well, Anders Osborne is the singer-songwriter’s guitar player. For decades he’s been well known as the poet laureate of Louisiana’s fertile roots-music scene. But Osborne is also an electrifying guitarist with a super-funky rhythmic sensibility who plays lead with ferocious intensity. He’s also a hugely underrated bottleneck blues master.

If you’re a die-hard Zeppelin fan like me, you went to see Becoming Led Zeppelin at the iMax theater. You may also now appreciate that the film is now available on streaming services, allowing guitarists observe more closely the intimate details it reveals. Personally, I can’t stop thinking about the huge role the acoustic guitar plays in Zeppelin’s origin story.

Found this pic with @jeffbeckmusic backstage at the Greek in LA from 2006. I was so nervous to meet my hero, but we shared a good laugh:) #ripjeffbeck https://t.co/PtLF7WMyby

I feel like each of my musical heroes that passes takes a piece of me with he or she, and leaves a piece of themselves here in return. Listening to @thedavidcrosby revisitng our conversation plus doing a @jeffbeckmusic lesson today, oh man, - so heartbreakingly beautiful!🫠

Honored to have done the last GP interview with "Croz." He was very gracious and we went deep into his whole career from a guitar perspective. He was also funny and level-headed about life, aware he wasn't far off from the next one. #RIPDavidCrosby https://t.co/Rbb1M6xe0M
