IntroductionCompetition is rife among South Korean (hereafter Korean) idol groups, with an average of 70 new groups launching annually (Ham, 2021). One of most notable, NewJeans, debuted in July 2022 produced by ADOR, a subsidiary of the Korean entertainment company HYBE (best known for the Korean idol group BTS). NewJeans immediately gained worldwide popularity, with more than 100 million Spotify streams in their first month (Cho, 2022).

AbstractThe role of inhaled corticosteroids (ICS) in chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) is debated. We investigated whether the administration of ICS could lower the mortality risk in patients with COPD. We utilized the Korean National Health Insurance Service-National Sample Cohort database from 2002 to 2019. We included patients who had claim codes for COPD and inhalation respiratory medicine at least twice a year.
