Cell culture and transfectionThe human RCC cell line 786-O was purchased from the Chinese Academy of Sciences Cell Bank of Type Culture Collection (Shanghai, China) and cultured as a monolayer in Dulbecco’s modified Eagle’s medium (DMEM, Gibco, Langley, OK, USA) containing 10% fetal bovine serum (FBS, Gibco), and 1% penicillin–streptomycin (GE Healthcare Life Sciences, HyClone Laboratories, Utah, USA) at 37 °C in a humid atmosphere containing 5% CO2 (Thermo Fisher Scientific Inc., MA, USA).
