President Donald Trump lashed out at ABC’s Rachel Scott for confronting him about the $400 million luxury jet the Defense Department is accepting from Qatar’s royal family on Monday. During an executive order signing at the White House, the president stood firm on his position that the jet is being given to the U.S. government for “free” without any strings attached. “I would never be one to turn down that kind of an offer,” Trump said.

Jim Cramer surprised his CNBC colleague David Faber by crediting President Donald Trump for being “less confrontational” amid the just-announced trade truce with China. In the opening segment of CNBC’s Squawk on the Street Monday, Cramer argued that the agreement indicated that a kindler, gentler Trump is now calling the shots in the White House. “This, to me, is a signal that there is maybe a different kind of President Trump happening,” Cramer said.

While many on the right are taking bows after the U.S. agreed to a truce on trade talks with China, a prominent Fox Business reporter threw cold water on the idea that President Donald Trump has anything to celebrate. In a series of posts to X early Monday, Fox Business Senior Correspondent Charles Gasparino delivered a blunt analysis of the drastic temporary tariff reduction by the U.S. and China and the 90-day pause before any further escalation. “Both sides blinked,” Gasparino wrote.

A prominent TV financial analyst believes media giant Warner Bros. Discovery is on the verge of being split up. Speaking on Thursday’s edition of CNBC’s Squawk on the Street, David Faber said that — based on his discussions with insiders — he believes a split is imminent. “It’s become relatively clear to me from the many conversations that I’ve had that we could get some sort of an announcement in the not-too-distant future that they are planning to try to split the company,” Faber said.
