April 18 (UPI) -- Democrats in Congress are renewing a call for legislation to ban members from trading stocks and securities following a flurry of trades during the April market slump. Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene, R-Ga., disclosed 38 trades made between April 2 -- when President Donald Trump imposed tariffs on most imports -- and April 9 -- when Trump paused many of the tariffs, according to Insider Finance's Congress Stock Tracker.

April 15 (UPI) -- The federal government is revoking the visas of hundreds of international college students without notifying universities. Several universities across the country have confirmed to UPI that international students have had their visas revoked without notice or had their Student and Exchange Visitor Information System records terminated. The universities said they have played no role in the revocations and were not informed why their students' visas were being revoked.

The administration has singled out Columbia, Brown, Harvard, Princeton and others over allegations of anti-Semitism. Meanwhile universities across the country are losing grant funding due to President Donald Trump's executive order to cut costs at the National Institutes of Health.
