San Jacinto Elementary in San Angelo has been deemed unsafe to enter after a series of earthquakes back in July. Reports from architects to the school board revealed considerable damage to the main building, and the recommendation was made to not utilize the building. Following the evaluation, the San Angelo Fire Department instructed the SAISD to place "unsafe" placards on the building as an indicator the building is unsafe to enter.

According to The Texas Forrest Service there have been 298 wildfires in Texas so far this year burning over 1,271,606.09 acres across the state. The pictures and video are from the Train Car fire in Coleman which burned 400 acres and was just 100% contained Wednesday. Currently there are three wildfires burning in the state, The Case Fire in Cass County is 1 acre and 90% contained. The Event Fire in Shackelford County is 145 acres and in 95%contained.

COLORADO CITY, Texas — Today is the 80th anniversary of D-Day, when the allied forces of World War II stormed the beaches of Normandy. But for two Colorado City brothers, Gilbert and Floyd Chaney, this anniversary hits home. Their oldest brother, James Chaney, was one of the thousands of men who lost their lives on the beach that day. Gilbert and Floyd were 14 and 15 years old when they found out their 20-year-old brother died.
