Quarterback Gevani McCoy entered the transfer portal last week after just under four minutes with the Texas State Bobcats. On Wednesday, McCoy reportedly signed with the Temple Owls per On3's Pete Nakos. McCoy began his career at the University of Idaho, where he spent three seasons and threw for 5,834 yards with 43 touchdowns and 19 interceptions, completing 65 percent of his passes. He then transferred to Oregon State for the 2024 campaign, where he began the year as the Beavs' starter.

Following their West Coast Conference championship and qualification for the NCAA Tournament, the Oregon State women's golf program took home multiple honors from the league this week. OSU head coach Dawn Shockley was selected as the WCC Women's Golf Coach of the Year after guiding the Beavers to their first conference title. Two members of the Beavers were also included on the ten-member All-WCC team.

After a stellar college career with the Boise State Broncos, running back Ashton Jeanty is set to begin his NFL career. Jeanty was selected by the Las Vegas Raiders on Thursday with the sixth overall pick in the 2025 NFL Draft. Among his college accolades are the Maxwell Award, the Doak Walker Award, a Unanimous All-American nod, and two Mountain West Player of the Year awards.

As the NFL Draft began Thursday night in Green Bay, Wisconsin, a former Washington State Cougar quarterback was the first overall selection. The Tennessee Titans chose Cam Ward after ending his college career in a lone season with the University of Miami Hurricanes. A native of West Columbia, Texas, Ward began his career at FCS program Incarnate Word University in 2020.
