We’re all familiar with the pleasantries of Spring: flowers blooming, and birds chirping, all below the welcoming warmth of a glowing sun. In Corvallis, another familiar facet of Spring is on the horizon. This Saturday, the Oregon State football team will play its annual Spring Game. Attendance is free, and Reser Stadium’s Gate F will open at 11 AM. From there, players will run onto the field at noon.

Another day, another transfer. Today the transfer portal woes continued for Oregon State, as French freshman wing Maxim Logue entered the transfer portal. Logue only averaged 2.9 points on the season, in limited minutes, but appeared to break out in his final appearance. In April 1st's The Crown defeat to UCF, Logue rewarded a season high 24 minutes from Wayne Tinkle with an impressive tally: 18 points on 6 of 8 shooting, 10 rebounds, and 2 assists.

In 2023, Steven Jackson joined the Oregon State Beavers Hall of Fame. Undoubtedly, his selection process provoked little debate. A third-team AP All-American and honorable mention Sports Illustrated All-American in 2003, Jackson followed up his star-studded collegiate career with a thriving professional tenure. After being selected in the 2004 first round by Mike Martz' St Louis Rams, Jackson averaged an outstanding 5.0 yards per carry in his rookie campaign.

Two weeks after all-conference first team standout Michael Rataj entered the transfer portal, the German wing has been joined by five other Oregon State players: Da'John Craig, Nate Kingz, Parsa Fallah, Liutauras Lelevicius, and Damarco Minor. Notably, the latter four names have something in common with Rataj: they were starters.

Oregon State defensive line coach Ilaisa Tuaki is optimistic for an improved front-seven. "By the time we get to fall camp, we'll be full-go", Tuaki told the local media yesterday. "The improvement this year [in Spring practices] has been good. We played a lot of young kids last year, D-tackle wise, just took a lot of lumps that way, but it'll pay dividends this year. It's been a good spring for a lot of those freshmen that played last year.
