Alicia Silverstone is attached to reprise the role of Cher Horowitz in a “Clueless” sequel series at Peacock, Variety has learned. The show is currently in development. Exact plot details are being kept under wraps aside from the fact the show will serve as a follow-up to the cult classic film. Josh Schwartz and Stephanie Savage are attached to write along with Jordan Weiss. All three will executive produce, with Schwartz and Savage doing so under their Fake Empire banner.

The “Pacific Rim” TV series has found a home at Amazon, Variety has learned exclusively. The live-action project, which Variety exclusively reported on in 2024, is now in development at Prime Video in a deal between lead studio Legendary Television and Amazon MGM Studios. As previously reported, Eric Heisserer will serve as writer and executive producer under his Chronology banner. The show is the first project under Chronology’s first-look TV deal with Legendary.

“Temptation Island” has been renewed for Season 2 at Netflix, Variety has learned exclusively. The reality series debuted its first season on the streaming giant (and ninth season overall) on March 12. The show made the Global Top 10 list for one week and spent three weeks on the U.S. Top 10 TV list. The show originally aired on Fox from 2001-2003, and was then revived at USA Network in 2019 for five more seasons before it moved to Netflix.

“Twisted Metal” Season 2 is coming to Peacock this summer. The NBCUniversal streamer has revealed that the second season of the action-comedy series will debut on July 31. Peacock has also released a new teaser for Season 2, which can be seen below. The show is based on the video game franchise of the same name. It originally premiered in July 2023.
