A large police presence was seen in the Garden City area on Tuesday (May 27) - with witnesses stating that officers blocked off Sealand Avenue and other nearby streets. Residents said the road was closed for around half an hour as police attended an incident.

Yvonne's Cafe, located on Dock Road in Connah's Quay, was recently rocked by a break-in. The Yvonne's Cafe team say that 'serious damage' was caused during the incident which took place in the early hours of May 21. Money, stock and charity boxes were stolen by those responsible and tills were damaged.

RNLI crew saves two people cut off by tide

Flint RNLI volunteers were tasked by UK Coastguard shortly after 12pm on Wednesday (Wednesday 28) to assist two people reported to be cut off by the tide near Greenfield. Flint lifeboat was transported by road to Greenfield Dock, where it was promptly launched. The volunteer crew quickly located the two casualties and brought them safely on board the lifeboat.

Based on self-reported losses, North Wales victims parted with a collective £2,393,409 after being manipulated by scammers pretending to pursue a romantic relationship. With 386 cases traced back to the region overseen by North Wales Police, the average loss for a victim is £8,457.
