Since 1996, only two programs completed a three-peat of MIAA championships, with Calvert Hall making the most recent run from 2017-2019. The schedule is grueling. There are no pushovers. Every blade of glass is earned. Respect is fought for and won.

Our staff has been out in force and attending as many games as possible, and one of the priorities is finding the best players and performances to evaluate and publicize. Earlier this month, they earned an emotional, hard-fought win against their in-state rival Roswell, headlining the Gordon J Corsetti Mental Agility Foundation Lacrosse Tournament, held at Fellowship Christian School. The event, featuring 12 teams from the area, gave a spotlight to Georgia lacrosse.

Because there was a track meet on Saturday, the Dartmouth lacrosse team had to set up a block away from where they were playing, marching into Penn’s historic Franklin Field in sharp two-by-two order looking like an invading small army. In a way, the Big Green was.

Joe grew accustomed to seeing the gaggle of ribs, and spaghetti-strand arms and legs that Hunter used to be, until a bump in the night during Christmas break. Joe was in the kitchen fixing something to eat when he received a playful shoulder from Hunter, in shorts and a T-shirt. For a second, Joe did not recognize his own son.
