Sports Fodder:All of the attention from the crowd of 53,207 Monday night at Dodger Stadium was, understandably, focused on Shohei Ohtani. The three-time Most Valuable Player, after all, was making his first appearance as a pitcher in almost two years. Sports Fodder:The Nevada Wolf Pack football team's offense is, once again, starting over. Ever since former head coach Jay Norvell left for Colorado State after the 2021 regular season and took offensive coordinator Matt Mumme and backup quarterbacks Clay Millen and Brayden Fowler-Nicolosi with him, the Wolf Pack offense has been on life support.

Sports Fodder:The Colorado Rockies, 10-50 this season, are on a path to become the worst major league baseball team since the Cleveland Spiders went 20-134 in 1899. And nobody really seems to care. Nobody, after all, cared all that much that the Chicago White Sox went 41-121 just last season, breaking the expansion 1962 New York Mets' record for the most losses (120) in a season since 1901.

Sports Fodder:Is Jeff Choate going to receive the Second Year Bump as the Nevada Wolf Pack's head football coach? Chris Ault got it in 2005 as did Brian Polian in 2014 and Jay Norvell in 2018. Ault, in his third era as Pack coach, went from 5-7 overall and 3-5 in the Western Athletic Conference in 2004 to 9-3, 7-1 in 2005. Polian went from 4-8, 3-5 in the Mountain West in 2013 to 7-6, 4-4 in 2014 and Norvell's rookie year produced a 3-9, 3-5 record in 2017 and 8-5, 5-3 in his second year in 2018.

Sports Fodder:The Nevada Wolf Pack baseball team has a chance to reverse a disturbing trend of disappointing finishes for the school's three most high-profile sports this year. The Pack football team lost its final six games last fall after a promising 3-4 start to finish in the Mountain West basement at 3-10, 0-7.

Can someone help me understand how these people seem to have INFINITE AMOUNTS OF TIME on their hands to protest? I barely have time to go to the grocery store after work. How do thousands of people have ALL DAY to go out and protest for illegal immigrant criminals?!!! https://t.co/h7ZHM70x9Y
