The remnants of Debby will pass through the Twin Tiers on Friday with periods of heavy rain likely. Rainfall amounts will average 2-3", with localized higher amounts possible. We are anticipating flash flooding across the region, especially along streams and creeks as well as in poor drainage areas. The heavy rain will quickly taper Friday afternoon with partial clearing likely Friday night, followed by a sunny start to the weekend.

The remnants of Tropical Storm Debby will approach from the south late week. A few lighter bands of rain will develop on Thursday with temperatures in the mid 70s. As the center of Debby moves closer on Friday, periods of heavy rain will develop. The tropical system will fortunately be moving much faster as it reaches our region, which should hold average rainfall amounts between 2-3". We are still anticipating areas of flash flooding Friday afternoon and evening.

More clouds will arrive Thursday and perhaps a late day shower as some of the moisture associated with Tropical Storm Debby approaches from the south. The rain will pick up on Friday and could become heavy at times. The rain will taper Saturday morning with improving skies by Saturday afternoon.
