A South Carolina deputy died Tuesday from injuries he suffered in a head-on collision. Florence County Sheriff's Deputy Nathaniel Ansay was on-duty and traveling in Effingham shortly before 4:30 p.m. when the crash with an SUV happened, WYFF-TV reports. Details concerning the collision weren't immediately released. Ansay, as well as the SUV's driver, were rushed to the hospital, where Ansay was later pronounced dead.

A woman led Ohio police on a 10-mile, nearly 30-minute chase last week, driving the wrong way and colliding with a pursuing cruiser before trying to elude officers on foot. The chase began shortly after 5:30 p.m. May 17 when Sharonville police tried to stop a vehicle spotted for a phony license violation, WCPO-TV reports.
