Obvious excitement comes from sports when the games are actually being played, but the college basketball season seems to bring news every month on the calendar. Two months have already passed since Florida cut down the nets as national champions but there’s been no shortage of happenings in this sport from every corner of the country. Dozens of teams have changed head coaches while other programs have experienced other types of personnel changes.

It’s very hard to top a season where 14 of the 16 teams in the SEC advanced to the NCAA Tournament. The level of basketball in that league was at a phenomenal level and it’s no surprise to see the national champion coming from the SEC. Florida was far from the only team making headlines last season and those headlines have certainly continued into the offseason.

The college basketball universe is constantly changing and the A-10 is certainly evidence of that. It feels like just yesterday that this league was regularly putting several teams into the Big Dance, though the days of Temple and Xavier are long gone and it’s more of a challenge to compete in this league. As such, these teams feel added pressure to compete. Two teams fired their head coaches and honestly both made really exciting hires.

This part of the season seems never ending with constant roster churn, but there are still notable players finding their next homes.
