Thousands of college basketball players have entered the transfer portal in the last two months, signaling the latest crazy and eventful offseason in this sport. Even weeks before the season had actually crowned a champion there was already a significant focus on next year and where all these players would land. The calendar now reads May and these teams across the nation have been busy at work in this offseason.

One positive byproduct of the transfer portal is that it allows players quick resets when situations don’t work out best for them, and that even applies to highly touted prospects just as well as those ignored by the recruiting websites. Another example of this positive recently came to pass as former Alabama forward Derrion Reid found his next home at Oklahoma, agreeing to spend his sophomore season under Porter Moser in the familiar SEC.
