A former player, team captain, and assistant coach at Butler, Thad Matta certainly means a lot to the Bulldogs. He began his head coaching career with Butler back in 2000, spending a single season before experiencing more success at Xavier and Ohio State in later years. Matta led Ohio State to a pair of Final Fours before retiring in 2017 and surprised many when he took the Butler job for a second time five years later.

Significant basketball progress came at Florida State under Leonard Hamilton’s long tenure with the school, including three Sweet Sixteen’s and an Elite Eight run in the last eight seasons. However, now he's taking aim at Hubert Davis over how he handled minutes for his players last season? Apparently that's the case. Over the weekend, a video of Wade went viral after he discussed how North Carolina mishandled Ven-Allen Lubin and his workload each game.

At this stage of the college basketball offseason, there aren’t many players who are sure bets to play at the high-major level. One of them who has shown it is Arturo Dean, a 5’11 ball-handler from Miami, who has played at Florida International and Oklahoma State. Last season, Dean played for the Cowboys. He started 21 out of 34 games, averaging 7.6 ppg and 3.4 apg in 24 mpg on 39% shooting from the field and 28% from three-point range.
