One literary contributor is so impressed with Lady Vols basketball coach Kim Caldwell that he’s comparing her to legendary Tennessee coach Pat Summitt. I didn’t see that coming. But I did see Terry’s response to Jimmy’s scathing attack on UT football coach Josh Heupel coming. They have crossed paths before. I think of my literary contributors as one big family. But family members don't always agree, so I don't have a problem with my literary contributors turning on one another.

Tennessee was one of the best stories of the first-round College Football Playoff games. But that had nothing to do with what happened on the field. Ohio State took care of the on-the-field business. UT fans fared better than their team, though. They showed up by the thousands at Ohio Stadium. Crowd estimates ranged from 30,000 to 40,000 UT fans. The turnout was a testament to what has become one of college football’s most devout fan bases. The trip was particularly dreadful for one Tennessee fan.
