It’s been a while since John Anderson has set foot on the University of Missouri's campus as more than a guest. After 25 years anchoring ESPN’s flagship program, SportsCenter, he’s exchanged sidelines commentary all around the country for a Columbia classroom. In June, the Missouri School of Journalism announced it hired Anderson as the Endowed Chair in Radio and Television Journalism. He is returning to Columbia in the faculty position in January 2025.

The City of Breckenridge Financial Officer who allegedly fell behind on credit card payments moved money from four accounts, including accounts of someone deceased, has been charged after an investigation by the Fergus Falls Police Department. Police charged Ariel L. Johnson, 33, with two felony counts of identity theft/transferring money and using the identity of another person. She was issued appearance tickets for Wilkin County Court.
