This is the second blow to Vintage Brand and its founder and CEO, Chad Hartvigson, related to Penn State. In November, a U.S. Middle District Court jury found Vintage Brand had willfully infringed on Penn State’s trademarks and awarded the university $28,000 in damages.

    WILLIAMSPORT — If Jack Lausch achieves his goal, there will be a new quarterback for Northwestern when the Wildcats visit Penn State in October. Last season’s starter skipped spring football practice and played baseball for Northwestern. He is showing his skills for scouts this summer with the Williamsport Crosscutters in the MLB Draft League. Lausch’s focus is on being a high pick in July’s Major League Baseball draft.

Danyel Cambrea Balonis, 27, of Elysburg, on Wednesday waived Ralpho Township police charges of theft and receiving stolen property to county court. She is free on personal recognizance.

Michael E. Miller, 36, of Williamsport, was accused Tuesday by the state attorney general’s office of engaging in unethical sexual behavior over a seven-month period in what was documented as therapy sessions for which he was paid $30 an hour.

    NewsPublished: Jun. 24, 2025, 7:57 p.m.WILLIAMSPORT — The excessive heat has caused a 2- to 3-inch-high bump in both eastbound lanes of Interstate 180 in Williamsport. Traffic is being maintained, but the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation has placed a variable message board advising motorists to slow down and be cautious. The heat caused a joint in the underlying continuously reinforced concrete to expand, resulting in the asphalt overlay to heave, PennDOT says.
